Software and Support

Because of L’ânePOS’s open source nature, we do not charge per-machine licensing fees, but we do charge our standard rates for support and customization.

Pre-sales calls: Because of the frequency and lack of return-on-investment of “sales” calls regarding L’ânePOS, no sales calls will be accepted for it from areas outside of our core area (approximately a 75 mile radius of Effingham, Illinois). For free support or implementation questions, contact the project’s mailing list. For pre-sales contact outside the core area, email Jason at jaybee (at) ryotous (dot) com. Only questions regarding our support or equipment should be addressed to Jason: Questions regarding L’ânePOS’s capabilities and free support are best requested from the L’ânePOS website and mailing list.

Our standard support rate is $90.00/hr/incident, with a one-hour minimum charge per incident. This rate applies to our standard business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM Central (Effingham is in the same timezone as Chicago).

We sell a variety of hardware for L’ânePOS systems, including POS peripherals (receipt printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, touch screens, et c.), PCs, complete POS systems, and networking equipment.
